Medical pathway

From Pre-Med foundations to the MD journey.

Students can begin with an approximately one-year Pre-Medical Programme at Finwin Edu Campus before progressing to the Doctor of Medicine programme at Aureus University in Oranjestad, Aruba.

Finwin Edu Campus, in collaboration with Aureus University School of Medicine, offers aspiring students a structured pathway toward the Doctor of Medicine qualification.

Entry route

O/L science foundation

Students who have completed GCE Ordinary Level with credit passes in English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics may enroll in the Pre-Medical Programme.

Progression

Doctor of Medicine

After successful completion of the foundation programme, students may continue into the Doctor of Medicine degree programme at Aureus University.

Clinical exposure

USA and Canada links

The MD pathway includes pre-clinical sciences, USMLE preparation, and clinical rotations in affiliated hospitals in the United States and Canada.

MD programme details

Year 2

Core medical sciences

MD1 to MD3 cover immunology, nutrition, research, ethics, organ systems, and early practice of medicine modules.

Year 3

Advanced systems and USMLE preparation

MD4 to MD6 focus on nervous, renal, gastrointestinal, and hepatobiliary systems, followed by USMLE Step 1 preparation and transition to clinical sciences.

Year 4

Clinical rotations

MD7 to MD9 include internal medicine, family medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, and clinical skills development.

Year 5

Advanced clinical completion

MD10 to MD12 include elective and advanced clinical rotations, diagnostic medicine, emergency medicine, residency preparation, final clinical assessment, research, and graduation preparation.
